Thursday night Jim tattooed Davey Muise, the leaded signer of Vanna. He got a tattoo of a drippy candle on top of some old books. Also in the tattoo are the lyrics “Burn it all away” from the song Splinters by Therefore I Am.

On Sunday Jim Sylvia tattooed Shawn, the Bassist of Vanna. He got an hourglass with roses tearing through the skin of his arm. With the lyrics “Hours Pass Through Me” from the Modern Life Is War song Marshalltown. The tattoo is not finished yet… but here’s a picture of it so far. Had to stop early to drive out to Anaheim where they boys were playing on the Left Coast Ballin’ Tour. Good times. Later on this week or so Jim will be tattooing a couple of the other guys in the band.

Gang Starr Rapper in Coma After Heart Attack

Gang Starr front man Guru is in a coma after suffering a heart attack yesterday.

The 43-year-old rapper — real name Keith Elam — is reportedly receiving treatment at a New York hospital … where he is expected to undergo surgery later today.

According to his music partner — DJ Premier — the rapper is “fighting for his life.” He is joined in the hospital by his sister Tricia, who said, “The family is handling it as best they can.”

Gang Starr is known for 90s hits like “Code of the Streets” and “Mass Appeal.”

This weekend Big5 was in San Francisco getting tattoo’d by Jeff Rassier at Black heart tattoo
Jeff has been working his back piece for a while and starting to come together. Then on monday Big5 did a quick quest spot at Lucky Drive in San Rafael ca. He tattoo’d Alex, one of the tattooist there. He will be working there next month also for a couple days.

The Secret Handshake Tattoo

Today Jim made two tattoos on the hands of Luis Dubuc (The Secret Handshake). The Secret Handshake is the electronic pop rock music project from Dallas, Texas but he is originally from Canada.
